Our mission is to help transition the built environment toward healthier, high-performance buildings by delivering clear process, quality documentation, and transparent budgets, aligning design and delivery early to improve outcomes.
Align also works towards Goals 3, 7, 9, 11, 12 & 13 of the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development, which aims to create participatory, integrated and sustainable human settlement and to protect the world’s cultural and natural heritage. We are also part of the Pledge 1% movement to support nonprofits in the community.

At Align, we recognise that the construction and use of buildings is one of the largest contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions.
Carbon is generated through materials, construction activities, and the long-term operation of buildings. As designers, we believe responsibility doesn’t stop at documentation – early design decisions have a real and lasting impact on carbon outcomes.
We prioritise reducing carbon first through smarter design decisions, better coordination, efficient building systems, and minimising unnecessary rework. Where impacts remain, we take responsibility by offsetting them through environmental initiatives, including tree planting.
With our partners, we are working toward a long-term goal of planting one million trees by 2050 as part of our commitment to healthier buildings, healthier ecosystems, and a lower-carbon built environment.

our tree planting partner, sowing seeds for ecosystem restoration
The Tree+House Project is Align’s revegetation initiative in partnership with TreeProject , a long-established, volunteer-based non-profit organisation focused on restoring indigenous ecosystems through native revegetation.
Through this partnership, Align supports long-term revegetation efforts that help bind carbon over time, strengthen ecosystems, and contribute to a lower-carbon built environment.
